The same family-owned crew Ontario farmers have trusted for fifty years now bringing premium exterior painting and roof restoration to your home.
Most residential painters paint houses. We paint barns the size of houses — and houses to the same standard.
For fifty years, North Pro Barn Painting has been one of Ontario’s trusted exterior painting companies, working primarily on agricultural and commercial buildings that have to survive Ontario weather year after year. The materials we use, the prep we insist on, and the standards we hold — all of it gets applied to the residential work we do for homeowners across Southern Ontario.
If you want a residential exterior painter who treats your home like it matters, who uses coatings that last more than a few seasons, and who actually finishes the job on schedule, you’re in the right place.
We focus on exterior residential work — painting, restoration, and roof coating for homes across Southern Ontario.
Full exterior painting for homes of all sizes and substrates: wood siding, vinyl, aluminum, brick, stucco, and composite. We prep properly, prime where needed, and apply two coats of premium exterior paint engineered for Ontario's freeze-thaw climate.
Painting and elastomeric coating for residential metal and steel roofs. Restore the appearance and add years of weather protection without the cost of full replacement.
The detail work that separates a quick paint job from a finished one. We paint trim, eaves, soffit, and fascia as part of a complete exterior project — or as standalone work where needed.
Residential outbuildings, detached garages, sheds, gazebos, and decks. Same crew, same standards.
Fences, pergolas, and outdoor structures painted with weather-rated finishes that hold colour through Ontario summers.
Pressure washing, peeling paint removal, wood repair, and surface preparation as needed before painting. We don't paint over problems.
There's a meaningful difference between residential paint and the materials we typically apply.
Most residential paint is designed for moderate climates and indoor use. Slap it on a south-facing wall in Wellington County and you’ll see fade and chalking within three to four years. Apply it over poorly prepped wood and it’ll start peeling at the first hard freeze.
The materials we use — premium exterior acrylics from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Cloverdale, and Dulux, supplemented with industrial polyurethane and elastomeric systems where conditions warrant — are engineered for the kind of exposure agricultural buildings face. Applied to a house with proper prep, they typically last 10 to 15 years before they need attention. Some last longer.
This is what fifty years of barn painting brings to residential work: materials and methods that hold up.

We work primarily with Korzite, Sherwin-Williams, Cloverdale, Benjamin Moore, and Dulux industrial product lines. Specific product selection is part of every estimate.
Every project follows the same disciplined process. This is how we deliver work that lasts.
We come to your home, walk the exterior, discuss your goals, and provide a detailed written estimate. No high-pressure sales, no vague pricing.
We help with colour selection if you want input — including matching to existing trim, hardware, or roof colour. We can show samples on the actual house before you commit.
Pressure washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, wood repair, and priming where needed. Preparation accounts for more of the finished result than most homeowners realize, and we don't shortcut it.
Sprayed and brushed application of premium exterior paint, two coats minimum. We protect landscaping, walkways, and outdoor furniture during the work.
Trim, eaves, soffit, fascia, doors, and shutters get their own attention. Detail work elevates the finished result.
You inspect the work with our lead before we leave. We clean the site fully — no paint chips in the garden beds, no equipment left behind.
Pricing varies by home size, substrate, condition, and scope. As a general guide:
Residential metal roof coating prices follow the same per-square-foot guidance as our metal roof restoration work — typically $2.00 to $4.50 per square foot installed.
Every project gets a written, line-item quote based on your actual home. No surprises after the work starts.
We handle full exterior residential projects — house siding, trim, soffit and fascia, doors, decks, sheds, fences, detached garages, and residential metal roof coating. We don't typically do interior painting.
With premium paint and proper prep, expect 10 to 15 years between full repaints. Trim and high-exposure areas may need attention sooner. Touch-ups every few years extend the life of the main paint job significantly.
Not directly. Peeling paint has to be removed and the substrate properly prepared before new paint is applied. Skipping this step is why so many residential paint jobs fail. We always do the prep properly.
Yes — wood, vinyl, aluminum, brick, stucco, and composite. The coating system varies by substrate but we work with all of them.
Yes, for most aged metal roofs. Coating extends the roof's life by 10 to 15 years for a fraction of replacement cost. It also restores appearance and can reduce summer heat gain with reflective coatings.
Most homes take three to seven working days depending on size, prep required, and weather. Larger projects take longer. We give you a clear timeline as part of the estimate.
Exterior painting pauses from late November through early April when temperatures and humidity prevent proper paint cure. Winter is the best time to book spring and summer projects — our schedule fills early.
Yes — full general liability insurance and WSIB coverage. Documentation provided on request.
